DMV California licensed 800,000 undocumented immigrants
On the day that California officials implemented a controversial law that allows undocumented residents to obtain driver’s licenses, DMV offices throughout the state were packed with immigrants looking to take advantage of the opportunity.
Two years after the implementation of AB 60 on Jan. 1, 2015, an estimated 806,000 undocumented residents have received driver’s licenses, according to Department of Motor Vehicles statistics this month. About 14,000 of these licenses were issued in November alone, the DMV said.

DMV prepares for sticker shock of losing inspection tag
In less than nine months Texas windshields are going to start looking different, and Department of Motor Vehicles officials are gearing up to avoid a sticky situation when car owners transition from having two state-required tags to one.
As of March 2015, vehicles registered in Texas will no longer need separate vehicle inspection and registration stickers. State lawmakers last year nixed the inspection sticker, citing the potential to reduce fraudulent tags.

Nevada DMV Ordered Workers To Register Non Citizens to Vote
Nevada Secretary of State Barbara Cegavske has discovered that DMV employees have been ordered by superiors to register non citizens to vote. Furthermore, an unspecified number of them have actually voted.

Apple Receives Permit From California DMV to Test Self-Driving Cars
Apple has been granted a permit that enables it to test autonomous vehicles on public roads in the state of California, according to the California DMV website (via Business Insider).
Apple was added to the list of permit holders that are allowed to participate in the Autonomous Vehicle Tester Program in California on Friday, joining companies like Google, Tesla, BMW, Honda, Ford, Nissan, and more.

California DMV Ordered to Overlook Identity Theft by Illegals
llegal aliens may enjoy a free pass on identity theft due to a new investigative policy at California’s Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV).
The policy, issued last year and effective as of Jan. 1, 2015, directs DMV investigators to overlook identity theft by applicants “who may have attempted to obtain or been issued a license or ID card previously through submission of false information.”
